GENERAL MESSAGE

Civic Design Associates is dedicated to the sustainable revitalization of our urban environment. Our firm specializes in an integrated approach to town planning, urban design, and urban architecture.

During its ten year history, CDA has completed a diverse range of assignments that can generally be categorized as follows:

Urban redevelopment and economic development
Traditional neighborhood development (TND) planning and town planning
Form-based zoning and land use codes, design standards, land development regulations
Urban streetscape design, including civic spaces
Mixed-use architecture, generally with a residential component

The redevelopment of existing urban areas is a specific area of emphasis for our firm. Our work goes beyond physical planning to include policy recommendations, regulatory strategies, and economic and financial analysis. We are big picture thinkers. We can do this because we have a unique and multi-disciplinary set of skills concentrated in a few well-rounded and highly experienced individuals. We do this because we are passionately committed to creating better communities.
