GENERAL MESSAGE

Morris Architects planning services are uniquely characterized by our integrated approach to planning and designing the built environment. We know how to look at the urban fabric in terms of infrastructure (streets, sidewalks, utilities and public realm amenities), and we are acutely aware of the ways in which land use and architecture define and impact the public realm and the community. We see these as human systems that, can enhance or facilitate social and economic well-being, or discourage, inhibit or simply fail to address human scale and perspective.

Our goal is to approach every assignment on it's own terms. We don't envision grandiose solutions, we look for indigenous identities and goals that can be celebrated and enhanced. When development or major investment is engaged, it should be seen in terms of both its benefit and its potential social and economic impact on the surrounding community. Buildings should be planned and designed with reference to context and connectivity to the public realm; and infrastructure must be planned and built in accord with actual, future or desired land uses.
